When you charge a mint for tickets and allow only the more fortunate to be able to afford to go on a regular basis, the game turns into a social event rather than a sporting event. Instead of regular Joe's who are die-hard LSU fans like me who would be more than willing to blow out a lung and sit the entire time in rain, sleet or... er... snow on the winning or losing end of a blow out, there are people who are well off and have better things to do than to sit through a game that makes them "frustrated." If I paid to watch the Tigers, no matter the cost, I'm gonna sit through the whole game just like I did when Booty threw the game-losing INT against UAB and when Kevin Faulk ran all over Vandy in that cold, rainy game in '96. I understand that the team needs nice facilities, but as someone who works and interns to pay my way through college, I just can't afford to pay that much for a ticket more than once (in '03, it was $36 a ticket, which isn't as bad). And if I ever get to go, it's to see LSU play High School State University (or Tulane for short).
Not a band wagoner either just my usual sarcasm shining through. also, dont know if this will help but instead of reverse mojo try some gris gris on the other team!... its more cajun~! :geaux:
reverse mojo can work wonders. during the ga game last year, i dont remember what the play was, but something good happened while i was in line for the restroom. i got back to my seat and staceyo almost pushed me out of it telling me to leave so something else good would happen! :hihi:
If you scream at strangers who are leaving a football game early, it doesn't make you a superfan; it makes you a loud, drunk, obnoxious *******. Seriously, get a life. You are the reason Tiger fans get a bad rep. Rude, drunk, and feeling like you somehow have the right to intrude on other people's business.
