Les Miles pact with the devil College Football: LSU Tigers' Les Miles leads coaching blunders list - ESPN
Well we are technically beyond that. I used to hate when people would tell me we were more lucky than good back in 07 and that our head coach was a total dunce. I would get so pissed. I just refused to see the obvious. Now no one misses the obvious. Not anymore.

Let's say the team does rally around him and they go 10-2, does that somehow cover over the fact that he's incompetent and has had TWO major clock management issues in 2 years?
Cover no - mitigate yes. I can't imagine these guys giving up on CLM like has happened to Richt at Georgia. And that really does count for something.
No. I never made excuses for his mistakes. But let's say he goes 10-2. That's 10-2 with team that has only 4, count em, 4 seniors. 10-2 leaves him 61-16. You want to fire him? Do you actually think that LSU would? It'll play out. If he's as bad as some think, he'll be gone. All I'm saying is I don't see anyone out there that's guarenteed to be better if we do have to fire him. (and I'm not talking about who we'd like to coach, or who some have unrealistic dreams of getting to come here)
