its a great and old discussion of what makes a better schedule?--one that plays a better oppt on average or the typical top-heavy sec sched? you can argue either way, but i dont think you can discount nd's season or ability to win one game.

forde didnt say the sec sux. he just said you cant assume nd sux.

I don't think anyone believes Notre Dame sucks, I give them credit for going undefeated, but I don't think they will beat Bama or UGA, unless Bama or UGA beat themselves.

Considering that ND has to do it with "smart" athletes, the feat of going undefeated is impressive in its own right, regardless of their schedule strength. However, by that same token, the majority of their athletes aren't on the same level as the half-wit beasts from the SEC.

Nd will hang tough due to their defense yet in the end get Rick rolled. They will wear down. Unless their d scores they lose.

Their schedule sucks compared to any sec schedule. They are built like a big10 team and history tells us what's awaiting them.

Look who's defending them however. What a shocker.

Notre Dame doesn't suck.....they're just not as good as the SEC. However it is one game.....crazy turnovers, big special teams play, all of it could lead to notre dame wining. I just don't see it.

Richt/Uga would be the one team to choke away the nd game. They have to make it first.

Anyone who denies that this weekend is the national championship game in Atlanta is either a ND-homer or a SEC-hater... The press will be loving on ND for the next month because they know that the huge ND fan base will eat it up.

I agree that the S.E.C. is powerful, accomplished (6 BCSNC'S), intimidating & rightfully favored. I agree that Notre Dame is legendary, tough, confident, powerful, HUNGRY, independent & the perfect foil for SEC continued success.

Alabama has great confidence, success that is recent (2009, 2011 BCSNC) Alabama possibly lacks stability / 2012 due to key injuries, a rebuilding young team & past losses to ND in title settings (though distant 1973, 1974). The [plot thickens for ND is senoir laden, experienced, laden with alum of NFL resumes, heisman trophy award winners, intelligence on all levels everywhere one looks, money money money and unafraid to fight anybody.

AN INTERESTING MATCH-UP (#1 NOTRE DAME / #2 ALABAMA POTENTIALLY
