Running the ball 4 times in 3rd and long situations doesn't seem greedy to me. Seems downright ignorant.

Do we really want Les to worry about his speaking abilities? He needs a few more hours a day for game planning as it is.

I kinda feel bad for the guy in a way (he's damned if he does and damned if he don't), against GT in our bowl game... he was heavily criticized for sticking the knife in their backs and twisting it... and then on the flip side, if he doesn't do enough he's criticized again... at some point Miles probably figures Ph*k it...

I don't remember anyone being upset by the GT win.

Completely agree with this. We learn absolutely nothing from the press conferences.

he was criticized but it wasn't by LSU fans. It's real simple. On 3rd and long, unless it's 3 and miles (no pun intended), you gotta try and pick up the first throwing the ball. It's a no brainer. Unless it's the 4th quarter and late, i understand that. But midway through the 3rd when your offense is stagnant, you run the ball on 3rd and 7? And it wasn't like they were trying to catch the D off guard.

It is damned if you do and damned if you don't for Miles, but he has dug himself into that position.

Not the fans, but I remember reading pieces of commentary where writers and others criticized him for continually throwing on GT when we had demoralized them for 3 qtrs... like i said, sometimes it seems he's damned no matter what he does, but he has created alot of this negative atmosphere himself... best method of shutting up the critics imo, is to win big and he just hasn't done it very many times the last few years.
