Not sure if this was posted before. Too lazy to look.

I like this kid, for the most part, and he seems to be a good guy, for the most part, but there should be a press secretary in the athletic department that coaches on vocabulary and how some words and phrases are being overused. Maybe to get them ready for the cameras and microphones.

And make sure Miles shows up to every class and gets extra homework.

I can tell you this, Miles mentioned that the offense was not indeed a let down, but they got too greedy. What? I can tell you this, he also said that Shepard should have gotten more touches in the second half. This adds credibility to that ESPN writer thread. If Miles wants it to happen, make it happen, chief.

Says he's going to correct his mistakes, the intentional grounding in particular. Added that the o-line gave him a lot of time in the pocket and he felt comfortable. He, too, appears to be a good kid.

I'm glad you posted it. I hadn't seen it, and it DOES give some cred to what Chris Low posted. However, I still think Miles says what he thinks people want to hear. Quite frankly, I thought the best strategy up 30-10 late in the game is to run the ball with the biggest back you have. That's what they did. Problem is, the biggest back we have apparently has, er, small hands or something.

Agree Les needs to attend the public speaking classes...and have extra homework.

I no longer listen to Les Miles press conferences.

    It's too painful.

I can tell you this: I agree.

I was actually watching this to see where that ESPN dude got his quote from.

There's also no point, because you're not going to get any real insight into the game plan or thought processes. He said exactly the same thing about getting the ball to Shepard in the Florida game last year, and the exact same thing in the Cap One Bowl. That's not really a knock on Miles, that's just the reality. If he gets us back to 10 wins a season and a trip to Atlanta he could sing show tunes for all I care. But he needs to come up with something that puts points on the board and extends drives. If we're gonna rely on luck and talent (yet again) to win this division then we're living on borrowed time.

I agree with this. Yes, Miles needs to do a better job of getting the team, and his assistants, to execute. AND, you're spot on by realizing that he's gonna say what he's gonna say. People read way too much into Miles' comments. I couldn't care less what Miles says in interviews, and I agree that it's usually painful to listen to. But I just don't care what he says...because I know he isn't gonna sit there and tell all. He is gonna say what he---

    A) Thinks people want to hear.
    B) Thinks will piss of the media.

    C) reads off a piece of paper

"Yesh, we got a victry. Our football team might not want to hold it close and caress it like new born babiesh, but in ten yearsh or eight, we'll love it just the shame."

    Or something like that.

On his comment about the Dbs being burned... he says, "There's a lot of green grass out there to cover". lol... I don't think 10 wins is coming anytime soon.
