I'm feeling very optimistic, however I know we have a VERY difficult road ahead. I feel good for the first time in a few years that LSU can compete with Bama. I think Bama is an exceptional team, but potentially LSU is as well. Bama has shown being susceptible to the pass though. They can be beat.

A big key in the game will be how well the offense can move the ball, allowing the D to get some rest. The OL must play with a real chip on their shoulder. We must get holes as well as give Etling time to read through progressions. I love the play calling which will help all aspects. I do worry some about Etling though. He did throw his best deep passes against S Miss, however before that he has been mainly short passes. That will work, however against a team like Bama you must show more of a deep threat. LSU has the speed outside, it's up to Etling to put the ball on the money again.

Man love your optimism but we are one injured QB (Etling) from going 4-7. With Etling maybe 7-4. Hope I am wrong.

No doubt Etling is better right now than Harris. I do wonder if they would tweak the offense more to fit Harris' strengths? I would bet he would do much better with more read option out of the spread. Let him do what he did in high school and I bet he could be serviceable with good coaching and playcalling.

LOL TerryP Saban's Homecoming and I am sure the Tiger players will bow in front of King Saban . BTW a ex bama player gave me LSU and 35 and said he felt bad about that . He thinks it will be 50+ .LSU will have less than 100 yds total offense . Hope he is wrong . I would like to see a good game . I agree with him bama and ohio state in the Big Game $$$$ R on ohio state to win again

I'm excited to see what we can do with Fournette and Guice BOTH in the backfield at the same time.

Maybe put Guice is motion, which will move a LB out of the box with him. Then you have the option of handing the ball off to LF7 against a box with 1 less defender, or throwing the ball to Guice who's being covered by an outmatched LB. This could be explosive. Dural, Dupre, Chark or the TE could also be open, particularly if we're play-action-passing out of this scenario.

I'm very optimistic about our offense going forward. We look so much better than we did 4 weeks ago. So much more aggressive. Much more balanced. Much more efficient.

There used to be a guy that would post here and tell us time after time that Cam was a master at doing this.

Ole Miss can not control clock this year, they either score fast or 3 and out. Our D should not be on the field too much. I've been to every OM game this year and they score fast but have no running game. Their D has big holes in it as well. If we spread the field and open lanes we should be able to control clock. We just have to keep Kelly in check, other than the one or two brain farts per game dude is deadly and has great receivers.
