true then again at the same time it's like the Ohio Bobcats. i guess people have a problem with "university of" as opposed to Louisiana University.
What I really have a problem with is the fact that their name is ULL, not UL, or LU, or any variation thereof. When people start self-applying monikers, that's when I take issue, particularly when it involves them overstating their importance.
I read the article from the prespective of who wrote it and all I could think of he is just pumping sunshine right up the keister. The words I started to see were 'accept mediocratity, be happy that you squeaked by with a win.' 29-7 is not dominate, 45-0 and 48-17 is dominate.
That is the problem with LSU fans, expectations are off the hook. We dominated that game. Short a couple of dropped passes and JJ has a very good showing. The D was exceptional. As much as JJ has played I don't see him being much more than he is. If someone doesn't want to accept that well that will not make him what he is not. He is not great, I believe we can win with him, but I am always voting 12-0 until we lose a game.:miles: Besides if we didn't have JJ the traffic around here would drop about 50%.
apparently you didn't watch the game? we only punted once and had a fumble with a backup RB in. every other drive ended in a score. the defense was lights out except for one drive resulting from great halftime game-planning by state where they decided to go no-huddle with a new QB to keep LSU's defense off balance. it was a dominant win.
this and their attitude about it. i remember reading about it shortly after the name change. their fan base truly believes that changing the name would put them on the map. Being called "Louisiana" puts them at the same level of respect as Texas, Michigan, Florida, Alabama, Oklahoma. no, i'm not making that up. some of them actually think their name is what held them down, and HATE being referred to as anything other than "Louisiana" for that reason. so if it continues to pizz them off, i will continue to call them USL.
Dominant. Dominate is a verb. Dominant is the adjective that describes a football team's performance when said team scores on nearly every drive, and holds it's opponent to only one score.
