FOXNews.com - What the Health Care Reform Bill Means for You WSJ http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20100322-704346.html?mod=WSJ_latestheadlines
Interesting stuff. Thanks man, this bill really doesn't even effect me that much. Hopefully my employer will offer us some sort of package, but if he doesn't then i guess it will effect me, because i will have to buy insurance.
yeah see that is one of the really bad things that i see coming out of this. I foresee companies across the country just stopping their MedPlans because ther government has one.
they have a universal healthcare model in san francisco, and from what the governor there has said it has actually created competition, and they haven't had any job losses as a result.
What? California doesn't have a pot to piss in. They are flat broke and stealing money from taxpayers to try and make ends meet.
yeah the state is in the crapper, but san fran is not doing nearly as bad as the rest of the state. And wasn't the catalyst in Cali's massive economy bust corporate greed and deregulation?
Ok, so i got my quote today from BCBSLA, just for me my premium would be 232 a month, for myself and family, 980 dollars a month. This is why i hate insurance companies. 980 a month with a 1200 dollar deductible. That isn't insurance, that is rape. How in the name of (insert deity) is that remotely right? 980 dollars a month? That is more than my rent, car insurance, electric, water, and cable bill combined. My employer is only going to pay 50% of what my premium would be so just for me it's not that bad, but throw in my wife and kid, and it turns into BCBS bending me over and getting down no lube.
Which is exactly the point... 2000 fine per employee to companies with 50 or more employees if they do not offer health insurance... If the cost of an insurance plan to a company is more than 2000, they will drop the employee plans and tell them to go get the gov't plan.
