I guess I don't get the point of this at all. You title the post "For all the Jarrett Lee haters" as if your going to make some kind of argument to defend Lee's play. But then you go on to make an apples to oranges comparison between RP on a IAA team to Lee and the Tigers. Is your point that Lee is as good as RP? Because even if he is, (which I don't believe for a second) does that somehow justify Lee's performance is season? Or are you trying to defend Miles decision to remove RP from the team? If that's the case what does that have to do with Lee? I don't realy see anyone criticizing that decision anyway. We all know what RP could do with this team. We watched him lead LSU in the SEC championship last year but that guy is gone. What he does now is absolutely irrelevant to our current team.
Then obviously you have reading comprehension issues. First of all RP did not win us the SECCG, the INT for the TD did. This thread was to show the season stats between the two, and how decently Lee actually has fared in the SEC compared to the highly touted RP who's playing against much more mediocre teams then Lee has in an inferior division. If RP was still at LSU I think his numbers and performance would be more reminiscent of Lees this season.
Man get real, Lee has played like garbage. It's also not fans hating Lee, most want him to be highly successful, but they hate the way he has played. Comparisons of any QB at some tiny school with tiny school teammates playing tiny school competition against someone playing SEC ball is a poor comparison indeed. Who cares what Ryan the retard could have or would have done at LSU? He couldn't keep his head out of his rear and was put out on the street where he belongs. The only thing that matters is how OUR QB's are playing and if they are going to improve.
So the whole game can be summed up by one play? Which exactly why I was saying it's an apples to oranges comparison. If you must compare them at least use RP's stats at LSU so you have common basis for which to judge. But I still don't see any point in it. RP is gone and for the best. Who cares?[/QUOTE] I still fail to see how this makes any difference. I don’t have a problem with Lee personally. I believe that he is doing his best and that’s all fans can ask for. But that doesn’t change the fact that he has not played well. Bad play is still bad play regardless of whether another player at another school in another league also played bad.
Were it not for the Interceptions returned for TD's, TigerNation wouldn't be nearly so homicidal about Jarrett Lee's discrepancies, which is unfortunate because it's not something that he really has a lot of control over.
I seriously thought the one JJ threw was going to the house. I couldn't believe my eyes (until Scott came in and made a play)
perillwho Lee times arrested 3 0 teams kicked off 1 0 insert another category hes only a freaking freshman-- GMAFB hes going to get better and we're going to get better recruits---- damn give it a rest skippy737
Once again look at Lee's Roster compared to RP's. If you want go check rivals do some research or sumin and get off Lee's stick.RP is gone on another team, city, state, conference and division level. Dont use RP to justify Lee's mistakes its really getting old first it was the Redshirt Freshman excuse...then people gave answers to counter that....now JJ came in and look better than Lee did the whole year and he's a TRUE FRESHMAN. So what's the next excuse your going to come up with? :geaux:
