Yes. Something safe. Roll the QB out, throw it away if it isn't there. I can't believe I am saying this after the things I have said this season, but......with 2 minutes to go in the game, I had a lot of confidence in Mett to do the right thing.

I think so, too. And I'm pretty sure that Miles is kicking himself right now for not doing that exact thing.

You know I'm going to take up for a football coach. I grew up in a house where the coach suffered from a loss worse than anyone else. It made him almost physically sick--and there were times when his bad calls, management, or preparation were the cause. That made it even worse.

My position has changed, at first I was thinking poor choices to play conservative and poor choices to play aggressive on offense ultimately buried us. But after sleeping on it and thinking about it, I can't put this one on Miles. The offense was prepared, they had a good game plan, they got us over 400 yards. The defense let us down in this game, but I won't crucify them because they have been the lifeblood of this program for years. Lets just win out, hope FSU beats UF and get into a Sugar Bowl, and know in our heart of hearts that after all the adversity, 2 years in a row, we only lost 3 games, and are still a perennial powerhouse, and have a great chance to play for the marbles next year.

Or, maybe their offensive line was that good.

The problem is yes they are ranked 7 in the BCS but the general consensus I believe out there is that LSU has had so much talent they should have multiple crystals during the Les Era and that with a so called good coach they would have been multiple times National Champion. Now I got no beef with Les as he has a winning program but it does tend to make one think that if LSU is and has been so talented over the years and should have more crystal balls then is it the coaching or just bum luck. Many thought that LSU last year was stupid talented team and many of those same people thought and many still think LSU again this year is the most talented team in the nation but just not showing it; why is that.
