i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but uh...... the offense is simplified with Lee in the game as well because he makes poor decisions and stares down receivers.

so its either play the guy who is a real athlete at qb, but you have to simplify the offense because he dosent know the playbook that well (which is all speculation anyway, has anyone ever come out and said, jordan wont play because he dosent know the offense)

or play the guy who has a good arm, but we have to dumb down the offense because he makes poor decisions, bad throws, and stares down receivers.

catch 22, so who do you go with???

I am not sure myself really! Maybe some kids pick up on certain things faster than others. Sounds crazy I know! But CLM obviously knows something that we don't. There has to be something b/c both JL and JJ have been practicing for the past 2 weeks and for whatever reason, unbeknownst to us JJ doesn't see a single snap after Lee made sure he did everything he could to beat Coach Les Miles!

He's our backup QB. Starting in the late sixties when teams held large leads at the end of the game most head coaches would put in their backups to show some class. Over the years this trend has stayed intact.

See that's just it. You have to be somewhat MORE skilled than the person that backs you up to have a back up. JJ backing up Lee is like having the team of engineers that invented cold fusion backing up the 3 stooges. it just isnt happening in the sane world.

    Yes, its called the wildcat.
Arkansas used it last year and as well as LSU's defense was the last 2 years we couldn't stop Arkansas offense.

Look JS, I know that we are all great football coaches but there is a reason that CLM and the rest of the coaching staff sees fit to NOT play Jefferson! I myself have never coached a football team, just basketball and baseball, but I can see that although Lee has problems, a man that gets paid to coach and judge talent is putting what (he feels) the most comfortable QB to keep him in the game and maybe, just maybe he won't screw up. Has he screwed up, yeah! wILL jj SCREW UP? YEAH.

He might but no one knows that not even Miles. Again someone who doesnt know the play book doesnt necessarily throw pick sixes all day long. Hell you could concievably run what he does know and do better, but again we DONT know that and neither does Miles. Who was it that said he doesnt know the play book anyway? isnt that just rumor too?

Miles might be keeping JJ off the field because of his past injury. He may not want other teams to know that.

THAT would sound a little more credible for MILES than anything else so far.

Lee lacks what most coaches like to see even in young QB's when they lack confidance.
Athleticism. Lee just has the ability to throw, no legs. And I dont see him burning up with knowledge of the play book either.

Lee is no threat deep because of his lack of poise and ability to stand in the pocket if he is about to get hit.

he is no threat to run at all.

I'm not sure I agree with that. Didn't Jefferson run the spread in high school and doesn't LSU run at least a version of the spread?

Sure he might not have the understanding of the playbook that, say, Matt Flynn had. But the coaches can't get him ready to run 6-10 plays in an offense that should be at least familiar to him?

Good point that it is obvious that Lee isn't ready either but why destroy two QB's confidence.

Secondly, TP is obviously far more talented than any freshman QB on our roster of any other roster.
