Well I received some bad news today, it looks like the 4 season tickets we have been buying from a company for the past 6 years will not be available to us any longer. I wish I went ahead and bought our own season tickets when we had the chance during the expansion of the upper section, but we decided not to because the tickets we were receiving were on the 35 yard line 18 rows from the field.

Can someone explain the football season ticket wait list and ways to increase my chances of obtaining 2-4 season tickets? In know it is already closed this year, so I would have to plan in advance for next year. I am not currently a member of TAF, so I am assuming that would be step one. After that I would have to imagine that my chance are slim to none, so I am interested hearing from anyone who has gone through this.

More than 2 of those. more like...$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to get to the front of the line.
I was on the waiting list for a parking pass. It was $5 to get on the list and stay on it. Now, they want $5 every year to stay on the list. No chance. I park and walk. I need the exercise anyway.
Not sure if you have to pay every year to stay on the ticket list, but I'm going to assume you will. If they want $5 every year for parking, I'm pretty certain, it's the same with tix.

Yes they do. And to get your TAF number in the range for tickets will take more than a few thousand $. There are a LOT of bluebloods who keep their tickets, goto 1-2 games and sell the rest. It's a shame because the stadium feels different than when I was in school. But the bluebloods cough up the cash, so it is unlikely to change. Go to the TAF website and get started. And if you know anyone that wants to stop buying their season tickets, ask them to transfer their TAF points to you, and the tickets. Excellent way to jump the line.

It is actually $10/year for tickets. Do they use the priority point system for season tickets too? In other words, if people have been paying the TAF fee for the past 5+ years, it would be near impossible for me to catch up to them without taking out a second mortgage . Don't get me wrong, I believe those fans who were paying the TAF fee should get first dibs. I was just hoping for a miracle.

It looks like I may as well invest in a nice big TV and sound system to watch the games from now on. :bncry:

Here's watcha do: Go to the game. Tailgate. Drink plenty of frosty cold adult beverages (if you're of age),buy a generator, buy a TV, get a satellite dish, get a receiver for said dish, and watch the game near the stadium. You can hear crowd reaction and the band play for next to nothing.

Took us four years of contributing $100 to TAF and 4 years of paying $10 to be on waiting list. Total investment of $440.

Yes, we got season tickets of our own a few weeks ago, south end zone! Finally!

And those are the ones I keep in mind whenever Alleva feels the need to start b**ching and moaning at the students when we don't jam the student section shoulder to shoulder for ULM every year. Guess he feels the students are taking up valuable seats from "paying" customers.
