Not really a recruiting topic. More of a look at LSU's schedule this year, but from the perspective of the opponent's last 5 recruiting classes (Rivals star averages). I have time on my hands. Why not... North Carolina (3.114) vs. LSU (3.668) LSU @ Vanderbilt (2.488) Miss St (2.784) @ LSU West Virginia (2.996) @ LSU Tennessee (3.368) @ LSU LSU @ Florida (3.886) McNeese State (U/A) @ LSU LSU @ Auburn (3.324) Alabama (3.608) @ LSU Louisiana-Monroe (1.992) @ LSU Ole Miss (3.046) @ LSU LSU @ Arkansas (2.998) In the SEC, only Florida has outrecruited LSU in the last 5 years from Rivals' star average point of view. Alabama is even, and Tennessee and Auburn are close. Just a data point. Not many teams (maybe ten) are as consistent as LSU in recruiting in the last ten years. And I'd say 3 or 4 of those teams are of the 12 in the SEC. Boise State averages 2.398, just for fun. On the opposite end of the do more with less spectrum... USC averages 4.002
Nice work! I've said for years that it's crap that everyone talks about LSU's talent and how they should never lose games, but nobody ever said it when USC was losing to bad Stanford, UCLA, and other weak PAC 10 teams. This proves it. USC is in a class by itself talent wise, but the results have been about the same. We screwed the pooch in 2008 after the Perrilloux debacle, but other than that...about the same. We just have 2 :crystal::crystal: to their 0.
