Yesterday there was a discussion on the 790 sports radio here in Houston about Mascots and how cool Mississippi States Mascot was and some others because they were on the sidelines. They got to LSU and thought Mike was great but no big deal because he and other cats like him are in a cage outside the stadium. I almost wanted to call in to tell him years ago Mike's traveling cage during the game was placed by the visiting teams stadium entrance and he scared the crap out of players entering the stadium. Guess now a days doing that might get you a lawsuit by someone or have the animal rights folks on your butt. But come on no offense to any schools but no dog or buffalo or eagle is gonna put that kind of fear into you as a pissed off cat wanting out of his cage and you as his next meal (oh so close but he just can't quite get to you).
I think they should change our mascot to Flava Flav. He can wear the game clock around his neck and follow our coach up and down the sideline.
