I know alot of you play 'against the spread' type games and office pools, so this thread is dealing with that because I know that no one on this board gambles on sports unless they go to Vegas and do it legally. This thread is a hypothetical. Post all questions, advice, and any other news concerning spreads here.
Tonight Pittsburgh Steelers +7 at Cincy I don't like it either way. That one didn't work out so well. College spreads for the week are out. There are some big numbers in there.
Always a lot of big numbers. The key is to find the value in a spread, the right number on the right team for the right price. I wouldn't bet that Sea/Jax game and I won't. That one will be hard enough to watch as it is. Finding value in a big number isn't always easy to do. Key gambling numbers 3, 6 and 7.
Yep, that one's got sucker bet written all over it. Seattle coming off a big emotional win against their arch rivals. I wouldn't be surprised if the Jags found a way, not to win the game, but to cover with the 19+ points.
19 is a lot for any NFL team to cover. Not that it won't happen, but far too risky for me to risk my hard earned money on. I will find a game with much more value on the sheet and try it there.
I sent a friend a text last Saturday. "Ole Miss, all day." He sent me a text back that night and said, "Good pick, keep 'em comin." I usually send him one a week.
I'm the same way. I can usually find one college and one pro game that I really like. Fuck parlays, teasers, or betting on every single game.
Parlay is a sucker bet and teasers are just horrible bets all around. I have bet as many as 9 games on a Saturday and 6 or 7 NFL but that was in the past when I had more scratch. Working hard to get back there because I love to wager my animal crackers.
