Agreed. But the assets I was referring to were the assets to build and keep a program at a consistent high level. Notre Dame has the money, facilities, their own network, the love of all media, and can recruit nationally better than anyone. Any year they aren't in the top ten somebody screwed the pooch. Which the problems right now means Charlie screwed up bad 3 and 4 years ago. Tulsa, at home, Damn that had to hurt. :)

And another home loss for Texas tonight. When was the last time they lost 4games in a season?

I would think Will Muschamps' stock is dropping...

Yeah I'm certainly not defending Notre Dame. That program is a train wreak. Hell they lost to Tulsa today. Texas lost Baylor. Puts our loss to the number one team in the country into prospective.

    Agreed all points.
An important consideration here, particularly with the interest by some in running Miles is, is Charlie Weis. 5 or 6 years ago he was exactly what a lot of posters say we need now. THE HOTTEST NFL offensive guru that had coached under THE HOTTEST NFL coach. Domers thought they had died and gone to heaven. They knew they were going back to the top of the pyramid, and they loved to tell you all about it if you asked. Hell, you didn't even have to ask. Charlie went went 9-3 and 10-2 and then got his ass kicked by LSU and never recovered.

    That could happen to us.

Don't look now but Baylor and OU are tied for the lead in the big 12 south.

a quarterback that was only recruited t that position by two schools.....one of them not Texas. RG3 ended up at Baylor thanks in part to his commitment to Art Briles at Houston, then Briles taking the Baylor job. But agreed, LSU should have a similar QB talent wise given the schools history and current standing.

With that said, I hope Baylor keeps winning!
