My turn to rant on the Michigan threads ---- I open up the den to look over it this morning before going to the office and I don’t have enough hands to count all the threads about Michigan and Miles to Michigan and who our next head football coach is. It appears more of us are worried about a coaching change than our next opponent – Ole Miss – who even in down years has on many occasions played us a pretty good game. Whether or not Les is offered the Michigan job and whether or not he takes it is something that we have absolutely no control over – period. Our focus right now should be beating the hell out of Ole Miss, Arkansas and the SEC East champ. Our next goal as LSU fans is to win the SEC Championship with this team and this head coach. So please, stop with the distractions of things we cannot control or impact. Lets get back in focus - win out and be SEC Champion and NC for LSU. Let the talking heads rant and rave all they want about what Michigan and/or Les might do. I am for LSU, these are the good old days, lets enjoy 'em. LSU has prospered despite a coaching change. We can change horses again and be just fine. LSU's best years are ahead of it. Geaux Tigers !!!!!
Agreed!! Let's get ready to beat the Rebels! Maybe we set up a separate forum area for those obsessed with our coaches. I see the main area just called 'LSU Coaches' . Then we could have sub sections for: 1. Past Coaches We could discuss how much we dislike them for ever leaving LSU and critique their current performance. 2. Current Coaches Dream Jobs Clearly this would be the forum for all the 'what if' possibilities out there. 3. Future Possible LSU Coaches This would be the only area in the Coaches forum where any objective discussion occurs.
Oddly enough, I have the ability to focus on more than one thing. The team has yet to report that my ability is causing them to lose focus on anything.
I talked to Early Doucet on the phone yesterday. He says that message board speculation about coaching changes is adversely affecting the team. He would like to further request that any and all topics on this board be limited to the upcoming opponent.
That's odd because I talked to him too. He said their biggest distraction right now is trying to get the o-lineman better coordinated when they're dancing to Crank Dat Soulja Boy. Something about them trying to show up Texas on the sidelines or something. :wave:
