As a Tiger, he's thrown a bunch of bad passes. A bunch of okay passes. And a bunch of good passes.

But his beautiful Namath-like, Montana-like, Brady-like passes have been few and far between.

Last night's ten yard TD to Lafell may be the most aesthetically pleasing ball he's ever thrown.

The only one I can think of that comes close is the bomb to Byrd at Tuscaloosa to get the Tigers back into it at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Anybody else have a candidate for MF's most beautiful throw? :crystal:

I kind of liked his pass to Byrd to win the Auburn game and the one to Doucet on 4th down in the Bama game.

I think overall he is a very good passer, though not as strong as a freak like JR.

I like the passes when he threaded the needle into tight coverage, including the one to Doucet in the winnning touchdown play at Bama. I also like the bomb that he threw in the Peach Bowl (forgot to whom?) .

I see the bad passes as either due to his limited experience at the time, or miscommunication with his receivers. But considering that he had such limited chances in game conditions until this year, he had done quite well. I do believe in and trust his passing ability, but what's more important than anything else, his leadership, ability to read defenses and running the offense to be a QB who can win games for you :thumb:

The one he chucked straight into the air after taking the knee that sealed our victory. :crystal:

The prettiest pass I have ever seen him throw was the Byrd pass against Auburn.

The clutchest pass I have seen him throw was the 4th down to Doucet vs Bama.

The best pass under the toughest condition was the pass to Lafell against OSU. He got smacked as he let it go, but he stepped into the pass knowing he was getting hit.....that's what I like. And boy was it a perfect pass.

Buster Davis. That one definitely came to my mind.

The ball to Lafell was absolutely perfectly placed. Hard to top that one. Once we punched it in right there, it was all over.

The TD bomb to Byrd @ Bama was very pretty because the ball just seemed to drop perfectly in his arms. Thats my candidate for prettiest throw.

The Lafell TD wasn't initially that pretty for me because I thought Flynn threw the ball 10 yards out of bounds based on how much velocity he put on it. But man that was probably one of his tougher throws he's thrown this year. Going across the body, brought back memories of Mauck to Skyler in the 03 UGA game.

I thought so, too...which is what makes it so impressive to me.
