I am not going to say it's JJ's fault... it's a combination of things.... this week you were playing a very good defense but the OC is going to make it tough on you no matter who is at QB. JJ can probably get you 7-10 wins a game if you have major talent like LSU does around him. Some of his mistakes and habits can be improved or eliminated but the huge windup in his throw can't be coached out. In the end he has huge windup which makes it very tough for him to rid of the ball. His potential to be a major league QB is limited due to the huge mechanics he has. I said before the start of the year I was suspect on Jefferson and I was called an idiot... well now I am about 90% Jefferson is not going to work out.
Because the teams figured out by the first game of the year that the wanted to roll JJ out and or do option pitch. Teams are forcing them to throw from the pocket, it's exactly what I said would happen. Every team is telling them to throw from the pocket, that is the open play.... if that play doesn't work then you have to basically out talent them somewhere else... of course you are not going to out talent Florida somewhere else.
No but they sure will force you into a punt. The defense gameplan against LSU hasn't really changed since the 4th game last year... stack the line, play mostly up on the WRs, after the GT game have a shadow for rollouts and option.... most of the teams are giving up 10-20 yard routes especially over the middle or quick slants (which LSU doesn't seem to have in there playbook). Unless someone can throw 10-25 yards down the field especially in the middle and can progress through the options... offense will not look smooth and will have serious problems against the top SEC teams.... LSU can outman about 70% of the teams on their schedule.... the other 30% requires more.
You are the only enlightened one that can post? And just who are you calling an idiot? Hey how about lightening up a bit, its only a football game and peoples opinion of said game.:rolleye33::thumb:
