Dude, I am thinking the same thing. If a rare gain on the option keeps that in the play book, who knows what an 80+ yard TD run does?

Florida is every bit as beatable as we are. We start Lee and we win, we start JJ and we lose. For the most part Lee looked really solid in the UT game, especially during the last drive, a drive that JJ never would have orchestrated. Save for the int that killed the previous drive Lee had a better outing than JJ has had all season.

I think that our D and ST will keep us in the game and with Lee in at QB we will have just enough O to pull out the W in the swamp. Lost in all the talk about the UT game is the fact that our O had one of it's best performances of the season. Eliminate the costly t/o's by keeping JJ out of the game and we will steal one from the Gators.

I'm not ready to pack it in on Jefferson yet, I really think the kid got a raw deal on Saturday.

He had a great play to start, looked like he was feeling it, and then had the unfortunate interception on the next series. The guy he threw to was open, the safety just made a good play.

From there, he had a few drops and started getting jerked in and out of the game. Way too early to make a read on either him or Lee.

Both are equally questionable, in my opinion, but it's way too soon to anoint Lee the starter. I mean he did throw a terrible interception himself, and tried his best to throw another.

Agreed though that we have a great shot at beating Florida. They aren't very good.

That interception was all on JJ. He was way late releasing the ball and throew it softly when he should have fired it. He also telegraphed it by locking on to the receiver.

Agreed. But the decision was a good one, the WR was open. Bad execution and a good play by the safety.

From there, all the goodwill from the great start was lost, and the rest is a wash.

TBH, I think we're going to lose to Florida. We're playing at the swamp, against a good team and it will be (hopefully) JLee's first start in 2 years. Mistakes will happen, JLee will get burned some. This is to be expected. I just hope Miles can understand this and doesn't panic and pull JLee. He needs the snaps.

I also would love to be wrong on this.

What if Lee is playing poorly? IMO, Jefferson should start, but that's because I remember what happened last time Lee started in the Swamp. It was ugly.

I remember the last 4 times Jefferson started. They were ugly.

That they were, and all wins. I know I'm in the minority, but I still feel Jefferson is better than Lee, all things considered.

Lee's numbers looked okay on Saturday, sure, but if you rewatch the game, notice how many of his completions are parallel to the LOS.

I don't really think there is much of a difference either way, but I still prefer Jefferson over Lee.

If Lee gets the start, that's fine, can't say he didn't earn it or that JJ hasn't earned the demotion. If Lee comes in and sh!ts the bed this weekend though, I will not be surprised.

c'mon, give credit where credit is due, that was a nice play by the defender. lee made some impressive throws and makes quick decisions. a lot of lee's success was due to what i thought was a pretty good game plan from the coaching staff, but i digress, it has me feeling confident for the first time all season.

and i'm sure florida is feeling pretty confident in beating LSU, because we really haven't looked very good this season either. :thumb:
