well... i really don't see any weakness with florida. perhaps not having a playmaker like percy harvin could cause a bit of a hiccup. but andre debose, demps and james, emanuel moody, all of those guys are great! point is: uf is still loaded on offense.

the ONLY detrimental problem that i could foresee is if the coaches try and implement more of a "pro-style" offensive scheme to "showcase" tim tebow to the NFL. if THAT'S the case (which would be a HUGE mistake, IMO,) but if that's the case, UF is probably not going to be as superlative on offense. their defense is fast, athletic and tough. i think if any team in the country can go undefeated, it would be florida. chomp. chomp. chomp.

could LSU beat them? it all depends on how this team unfolds. i don't see many weaknesses with LSU either. QB doesn't really worry me. we are in MUCH better hands than most schools in this dept. we averaged 30-something a game last season with all of our problems on offense. why can't we do that again with an arguably better o-line (center pending,) more experienced group of QBs and a MUCH BETTER DEFENSE?

i've read a lot of people saying how we had to replace too much on defense. i think that this is a blessing in disguise. we have a new DC in there with young guys eager to work and improve. LSU's defense was horrid last season. i hear a lot more criticism regarding the offense, but the fact of the matter is that the defense gave up way too many plays. of course the entire team gave up after the heartbreak against BAMA, but again, this is a blessing in disguise. there WILL be improvement from last season.

maybe the improvement will only transpire as narrow-losses to Florida, UGA and Old Piss instead of blow-outs. maybe it will translate into narrow margins of victory. who knows. i think after we see the first two or three games, we will be able to make a better assessment.

i'm still saying two losses. anything more than that would be a big disappointment. in any other year since LSU's recent success would you guys be content with losing to BAMA, UF, UGA, and Ole Miss? why are a lot of you guys conceding these games? what if LSU went 11-2 last season -- which were only a couple of plays from happening? would you guys still be pretty much conceding losses to bama and florida and ole miss? i don't think so.

face it, the SEC is tough every season, not just this season. saying that this year's team isn't good enough to win on the road in the SEC is hogwash. this team has the talent to win another title. that is unlikely, however, i don't think for a second that we have absolutely no chance in any of our games.

sorry for the rant, but i've been reading a lot of doomsday crap from supposed "fans" (not just on this site, but others as well.) i just don't buy into it. the SEC is tough this season... but honestly, when is it not?

Losing Harvin will hurt Florida a lot more than most people think. Florida has some shifty scatbacks, but I don't think any of them will step up and fill that "3 yards and a cloud of dust" role that Harvin played. Florida also lost a couple of veteran O linemen who have been protecting Tebow's butt the last two years. Without a consistent playmaker freak like Harvin, defenses will be more free to lock on to Tebow. He hasn't had to do a lot on the run because very few teams have been able to get pressure on him and flush him out of the pocket. So I'm looking for defensive coordinators to tee off on him with a lot of blitzing this year and tight coverage. Tebow isn't a QB to burn you with his arm, so defenses have to swarm his backs and receivers, and that means aggressiveness. IMO, that has been the biggest mistake that most teams have made trying to contain Florida's spread with a soft zone. That D is custom-made to be picked apart with a short passing game and speedy backs/receivers.

If UF was in maybe the Pac10 they would go undefeated, but not the SEC. The rivalries are too intense. Besides UF's attitude is gonna cost em.

Gotta agree with alot of these thoughts. Tebow will be running for his life. Every team is gonna key on him, lots of blitzing. Oh yeah,,,,,and he is probobly a homosexual.

There's alot of these floating around the web. Not everybody loves Tebow, except of course the homosexual community. Not there's anything wrong with that.

How right you are. The way to beat Florida is belly up man to man just like basketball. Telbow's man, the MLB always goes straight for Tebow.

I agree. I know Tebow is the Almighty, but Harvin was the one who really made that team go last year.

Granted, I haven't been on the boards every day so it's possible I missed something, but I haven't heard or read about 1 person conceding these games. Maybe 1 out of those 3, but definitely not all of them.

I think the average is basically people saying that we may drop one to the east (uf or uga) and one to the west (bama or ole miss). But we shouldn't drop all or more than 2. But I haven't heard anyone saying we're gonna lose all of em and be happy about it, or just "meh, sht happens".
