Well we all know i am in hell! And the Gator fans have been kissing way more azz then normal here lately. Talking we are the only team they fear....so on. Lets start that I am now their bartender now, so a certain amount of that I take that they say not to be cut off. :D But these are normally VERY cocky people and they still "know" Tebow is god!!!! I believe their fear is deserved but honestly what do y'all say??? Are they just scared of not getting their next beer or are they really scared of us?

    Give me some ammo...

Honestly, more teams should fear us this year. With miles, I know he puts the game in the players hands and I feel that most all of those players are pissed off and looking to make a statement. 2003 anyone?

I dunno, I mean I knew last year with the qb thing and the double D cord that LSU was going to have major probs. However, even during the Florida game we had moments where we could have kept it real tight. That being said, Talent + Tiger FOOTBALL = WIN!

I like not being talked about for the most part. Let them talk about Bama and Ole miss so when we beat the crap out of them it just makes us look better......:LSU231:

Thank you for starting this thread. Everybody is penciling the Florida in as a loss. Maybe so but except for Tebow we match up with them talent wise and if Jefferson picks up where he left off we may match up with them there. They have a bye the previous week while we play Georgia and I don't like that but we are at home and we play Miss. State the week before Georgia which is to our advantage.

OK, I'll go ahead and say it. We beat Florida. Leave the little kids at home.

I agree. Fla. will be the favorite. On paper, Tebow is better than Jefferson. If Tebow has his best game, Fla. wins. If Tebow is a little off that day, if our D can get to him, and JJ is on that day, LSU can win. I think based on our recruiting classes the last 4 years, the Fla. fans are correct, LSU matches up with them better than anybody else. Our D has to prove it has returned to recent standards, and I think it will. This game will be one of the marquee matchups of 2009 regular season, right there with Texas/OU. Yep, one of the two most important games of the year. Then there's LSU/Bama and LSU/Ole Miss and LSU/Ga....

Here's my thoughts. Last year, FU beat Tenn 30-6. 7 of those points came on a drive of less than 10 yards due to a Tenn fumble at it's on 8 or something like that. If memory serves, they also scored a garbage TD late with scrubs on the field. Point being, Tenn D pretty much held FU in check, despite their O going 3 and out on a number of occasions and being dead tires. I think Chavis knows how defend the spread. This year, he's got better athletes. I think we have as good a shot as anyone to beat them.

i can't really say that i hate UF. actually i've always hated them the least out of any SEC team. but realize that i grew up in the 90s and didn't really pay attention to LSU football until we beat them in '97. before that i was mainly just interested in LSU baseball.

with having said that, i don't want to miss this game this season. they'll probably beat our asses so far into the ground that we'll likely never hear the end of it. but i'm not against UF winning another title. if it can't be LSU, it might as well be UF.

i'm sure it's TOTALLY different for you though.

i think that one of the main reasons miles went after Chavis is because of his familiarity with UF. miles knows that urband meyer and his boys will be strong for awhile -- with or without tebow.
