http://www.gatorsports.com/article/20080819/NEWS/152887/1016&title=D_tackle_still__the_problem_ This seems to be an odd move to me. I've been under the impression that UF's defense is lacking DBs, but their main scheme will have 5 out there? Any thoughts?
Against LSU they will be facing 2 ( BIG) backs and a TE so I don't think trying to hide the fact that their D line is below average will work. Poor dumb crazy CLM already knew it when he went 5 for 5 on 4th down against them last year and showed (and probably told) Michigan how to beat them in the whatever Bowl. They will probably use the 3-3-5 against spread offenses like Auburn.
What about the criminal with the AK-47, the one who was on the police 911 call firing the weapon and who later got nabbed with a bag of grass. Isn't this guy gonna play? Lewis, huh? Did they lose him? Or do they think they can play three with this animal? ohhhhhhhhhhh, all those injuries (light bulb). They're SCREWED! They'll never throw 3 on the line against us, because we'll run for over 400 yards on them. They'll have to get 7 or 8 in the box against LSU and our OL to slow down our rushing game. We're still gonna beat their butts good.
If he is a starter and not in prison meyer plays him. A good player could be out on bail awaiting trial for murder and meyer would play him against LSU.
Yeah I heard the Florida Gators are going to go 7 and 6 this year. 7 arrests with 6 of them being convicted.
All defenses in the SEC don't really have a base defense. They run sets depending on down and distance. Scouting goes along ways too. Everyone runs the nickel and dime and some teams will run variations if they a Chad Jones type player who can convert from safety to LB. I do see UF running a 3-3-5 at times, but not on a consistant basis. They would be trying to hide a weakness by doing so. A weakness everyone is aware of by now.
