I'm playing to a much younger crowd then that. There is a strong perception that the viles are underachieving with the amount of talent at hand. Fisher had better put it in Bobby Bowden mode. Plenty of Seminole alumni remember the good ole days, not that long ago.
This is just Fisher's second 'full' recruiting class. The one in 2010 was saved from disaster just after he took over; the new coaching staff did the best they could to bring in the players they really want at FSU. You should know that in Bowden's last years, his coaching staff became very lazy in recruiting and brought quite a few highly rated players that others wouldn't touch. Many of them never made it to school or didin't stay there. Fisher completely changed that culture. I, and most FSU fans , agree that 2012 is a 'test' year for Fisher. We should really expect the payoff for some of this recruiting to start to come through. The #5 pre-season ranking last year was ridiculous, and most knowledgable FSU fans knew it. It's reasonable to give Fisher 3 years before judging him and his staff. Will be interesting to see.
Check who Jimbo has worked under, he will do well. Can't help but do well. Fla. has a ton of state talent.
Would it be a surprise if they are a darkhorse BCS contender? Not at all, but some people thought EJ Manuel was going to lead them to New Orleans THIS year and look how that happened. In this decade FSU seems to do better when they are not in the spotlight. With this class they have they will be right under it so it will be interesting to see how Jimbo does this season good luck to them. Maybe see you in Miami!
