Anybody else watching this fiasco? Amazing watching another team blow up like that.......makes conservative play calling look like a really good option.
It's sad to think I'll be watching the Tigers tonight in hopes that they don't lose to Troy. The Gator faithful have no such worries, and haven't for a long time. Ah, to have speed at every position and an excellent quarterback. Jordan Jefferson needs to grow up quick! :helmet:
The 2007 Gators lost to Auburn by 3, to LSU by 4, to Georgia by 12, and to Michigan by 6. Their QB won the Heisman Trophy and became the foundation of their national championship contention in 2008. LSU's 2008 team lost to Florida by 30, gave up 52 points to Georgia, and gift wrapped a victory in Death Valley to Nick Satan. Their QB will not win the Heisman Trophy and will not be the foundation of anything for next year. :tigereye:
Uh, that sure does not sound too comparable or promising. :rolleye33: We do have quite a few things to fix, starting with QB numero uno, and co-def. coords numero dos. The biggest single reason for that dichotomous comparison you give are pick sixes - Tebow does not, and Lee has many times.
Sorry, mine was in response to islstl's post. He's the one who said 2007 Florida and 2008 LSU were comparable. That is not true. :helmet:
Florida is absolutely awsome this year. How they let Ole Miss beat them I will never know. There should be two undefeated teams in the SEC this year. That would have been a rarity.
The difference is that we got blown out in one game. We lost to UGA by 14 points and went to the wire with Bama. It doesn't sound as bad when you don't spin the stats. So yes -- the comparison can be drawn. I'm sure if JJ is the starter you'll soon be rooting for the next in line.
