Scrimmaging against your scout team defense or even your starting defense with a no contact jersey is totally different from facing 8 monster defensive linemen that could start at any other SEC school.
I was just about to bring Chris Leak up too. Their team could rally around him and play really well. We have it to our advantage that the game is at home and will be hostile. Florida definitely has talent, and if that talent plays well, it'll be a good game. I don't think the honey badger will allow this defense to be any less aggressive than its been. Let's hope our players are not viewing this as a reason to relax but more as an opportunity to strike fresh meat. I think we do the latter.
As others have said, this kid is good. He's got an arm and can run very well. In his first start will he torch this years LSU defense? Highly unlikely, but Florida has talented coaching and athletes with nothing to lose so anything is possible. Games like this bring up the bitter memory of Rick Clausen. If this was a night game i'd say it's a lock, but day games always make me nervous. Still - my prediction is 31-13, the good guys.
Honey Badger on ESPN yesterday already talking about 2003, talking about Florida's speed, Rainey, Demps, and the challenge that this defense is up against. I think the D will be plenty ready
If this was a night game i'd say it's a lock, but day games always make me nervous.
What is it about night games in Death Valley that gives LSU so much more of an advantage? Is the crowd noise that much greater? Do the players hang out at Shady's too late the night before games? What is it?

More time to hit the sauce.......:thumb:
Well, I understand that. But I doubt LSU fans deprive themselves of "sauce" for 2:30 games......
Night games are magical. The stadium comes alive into a life of it's own. Day games do not have that aura that night games have. You can feel tiger stadium come alive at night.
after coming down for my first game late this year, i'd love to try to come down next year for a night game. Unfortunately, scheduling a trip in advance to see a night game is almost impossible since they wait to the last minute to announce the starting time.
There is nothing like a night game in TS. The crowd is more jacked and the players are more hyped. The energy just does not compare from day to night. I was at Kentucky game last week and it seemed dead to me. Just not as fun during the day.
