Not give up a home game. Say we will play in Florida this year, and keep next years game at home. You give up a future home game for a home game in a season that's basically over? It's stupid.
So you are ok with LSU paying for a Hurricane that didn't even hit us a year after it touched down, even after LSU did everything it could to get that game played in Florida and their AD wanted nothing to do with it. It wouldn't be fucking over teams for LSU to not agree to those terms, it would be not agreeing to a lopsided deal and being punished for being the good guy. Foley saw an opportunity to gain something out of this so he stalled. It was a chicken shit move and you are cool with LSU coming out on the ass end of it.
I'm not cool with it since it forces LSU to play a brutal 5 game schedule over the last 6 weeks of the season. But I have no say in what LSU does or does not do, so I can only take a wait and see approach to how our seasons ends up.
I've been on the UF hate train since Monday before the game. With lots of anger directed at the SEC for keeping mum and at Alleva for not forcing the issue. I'll be calling for heads if this happens again. The right thing to do would have been play the game in BR (announced no later than Wednesday @ noon with prep started well before that) and then play the game at UF the following year - both teams are a victim to the storm, with special treatment to the team directly impacted. Cost of doing business in the SEC, coming together as a family and all that. The only difference in this scenario is LSU's failure to compel the above (which is kind of a tall order without backbone from the SEC office), Stankey's lack of ability to make a decision and sit on this for over a week, UF taking competitive advantage of a bad situation, and everyone buying UF's bs except for a few enlightened folks (which consists of the entire state of LA and a handful of non-bleeding heart imbeciles). That, and both teams had to lose a home game this year because of this boo boo. Well, actually UF loses two this year but gains one next year, so we both end up losing one home game. The rotation goes back to normal following that. I don't have a problem with the outcome, especially considering canceling the game most likely would have made us ineligible, which would bleach if Eaux keeps making opponents look like Mizzou. I am actually glad Sankey made a fookin decision, I'm thrilled to see people not totally suck at their job when it directly impacts me. I also think you've got a residual case of the nega. Miles is gone!
Not sure if you guys saw the news but the reason this was rescheduled and so hastily Is it was discovered in the SEC bylaws That There is a requirement for any SEC team that wants to qualify for the title game to play all 8 games Regardless of Circumstances to be eligible. Not sure why it wasn't brought up to the public eye last week when people were calling you guys and florida out like you guys were trying to get a ez ride into a championship game or something.. But It came out big in the CFB world last night that 100% according to the SEC rules LSU and Florida would have both been disqualified from SEC title consideration had the game not been played.
Welcome, and yes it is known and mentioned a few times in this thread or another. Only the Floritards were celebrating this stupidity.
All these bitches just wanted home field. Every post is about having to play on the road. I can't put my anger into words. Something something something pussies.
