Huh? thats crazy talk. Here, go play Arkansas, Florida, and A&M in 12 days and sprinkle in Ole Miss and Bama the 2 games before that. You got this O.
Since the Nov 19th playing date is the week before most big time teams play a traditional rival it will be the biggest game of the weekend. CBS will probably pick it up and would move it to daytime even if it had been scheduled at night. I think the SEC contract with CBS allows for 1 night prime time game per season and that will surely be the LSU-Bama game. But they should have made the faggies push the following game back from Thanksgiving to Saturday. aTm faces the Mighty Frank Wilsons of UTSA on Nov 19th
If that's true, LSU needs to look in the mirror. I don't understand the angst with full time opponents either; LSU and UF have a fairly long history and there have been some great games in the series. It's funny, because I'm a negatiger and conspiracy theorist. It's not like UF gave up nothing; we also replaced a home game against a sun belt team with a home game against UF, which I imagine will be huge in the national spotlight. When hurricanes hit teams suffer.
I know it's trendy to blame Joe for everything but now you are just siding with Jeremy Foley. Alleva said LSU would play a home game Nov 19 and they will. As for the blame for not having played in either Baton Rouge, Gainesville or a neutral site Saturday, Sunday or Monday the blame falls squarely on Greg Skanky for taking up the Hershey Highway from Foley. Skankey may turn out to be a worse commissioner for the SEC than Roger Goodell is for the NFL, if that's possible.
If we played in Gainesville, that would have been a pussy move. This was a compromise, Foley be damned. It would be worse if we were to get on a tear but be ruled ineligible for the SECc.
If it's a compromise, what did Florida give up as their part of the deal? Their original home game, which was already lost due to a hurricane and their own obstructionism? The Nov.19th game, which will be compensated by us going to Gainesville in 2017?
Sure. Your AD had to be the one that fought for the SEC home game. The burden for everyone now is the home stretch. But the AD wanted this team to qualify for a chance at the title now and O getting the extra home game had to feel a lot better than a poke in the eye. The homestretch looks more doable that a trip to Gainsville. Orgeron is coaching for a HC job and now he can impress all the way to Atlanta if he's good enough. Who else but your AD made that possible? LSU won the toss and elected to receive. Florida AD looks more like they deferred until the second half. And that choice looks a lot more like next season.
The fact that foley is showing his ass in press conferences following this decision indicates he's not fond of this solution. Me likey. Plus, I'm so ready to move on from this bullshit.
Yeah, cant play in Tiger Stadium but 6 days later, sure, go ahead, schedule it. All this proves is posturing for a better deal gets Florida the deal they wanted last Thursday. Time to make a gator cry, I guess.
