I thought the line was fine, assuming that we would show up to play. If we went up 14-3 early, that game would have been so much different. Probably would have turned into the Arky/Ole Miss game.
With an offense we beat Bama (which I'm willing to write off because Ensminger is not the ideal OC candidate and Eaux was dealt something less than ideal). I'll give a little credit to our offense vs Florida, but there were plenty of lulls where we were running when UF was daring us to pass. Our D getting gashed is more on the O, but losing Beckwith hurt too. The biggest issue I have with the UF game is we were whipped mentally, which is one thing you can't excuse Eaux for. Unless he's already been given his walking papers. The writing was already on the wall that he wasn't getting the job if we could get Fisher.
Not at noon. Our boys clocks are never set to go at 12. It's cultural. Been that way for decades. This game had ugly written all over it from go.
A head coach cant "motivate" players to not fumble the ball twice and muff a snap. Our DL got pushed around some today thats not coach O's fault that they are not as strong as they should be he has just inherited this team. As far as Emsminger he called a great game considering being "thrown into the fire".
I think politics forced his hand last year. Not sure about how things are going down with Eaux, though. There are certainly a lot of folks in the Fisher camp and in the never Eaux camp.
I strongly disagree. With motivation and focus, Guice keeps his mind on securing the ball, and it doesn't just fall out when it's touched; he was not challenged hard on his fumble. As to the defensive line, they proved that they could stop the run early, and then they got pushed around on one drive, which demonstrates that they were capable, but they didn't try hard enough on the one drive. Our D-line stopped the run against 'Bama. The difference is that they were motivated to face 'Bama.
I agree with last year, but Eaux's demeanor took a turn after the Bama game. He got them up to play but his fire is gone, you can see it in his interviews. Looks too subdued to be Eaux, that dude is usually at high rev. I think the deal is done which is why Alleva put out the letter and Eaux is so quiet.
