I think our "team" has made the turn, but we are waiting on consistent QB play. The game would have been in the bag with it.
A win in the swamp is aways a great win but we need to keep perspective. Florida is a weak team. They beat Tennessee on a last second hail mary then beat Kentucky by one point. That was followed by Vandy playing them close- tied at half and going on to win 38-24. I expect we get better but it's very possible we could end up not bowl eligible.
It seems the young guys got a bit better. If they continue, I think the only game after AU that we lose is Bama. I still think we beat A&M, Ole Piss, Tenn, and Ark.
Every team will get a little better coaches fighting for their jobs and players getting better and healthy. Our QB play has to get much better, we have to get totally healthy and develop a passing game for a chance to beat A&M, Ole Piss, Tenn, and Ark.
Sadly, Etling is past the point of improving. The things he needs to do to improve cant be taught. This comes down to being a gamer. Etling, for-whatever reason, is more comfortable running the ball than throwing.
3 offensive linemen did not practice today... http://www.nola.com/lsu/index.ssf/2017/10/lsu_football_practice_monday.html#incart_river_mobile_home
I'm especially glad the way Canada called plays. Hopefully the staff gained some trust in one another. More glad that o didn't step in and let it play out. Team gave effort and put itself in a position to win. All you can ask for. Was thrilled that the receivers were the leading ground gainers. Give Steele something else to chew on. Hope to see this o line do just enough this week (grimes deserves some credit too) because what you see is what you get with Etling. Hopefully he puts it where it only chark can get it. Play hard and good things will happen
