Well, I have to admit I do get carried away and love to talk smack. And I came to this forum after the game Sat. with all intentions of being respectful. But then I read some posts that ticked me off and got a little rude. But I think all teams (especially in the SEC where we take our football so seriously) have equally rude fans. When we (BAMA) play Tenn I think their fans are the most obnoxious. When we play Georgia, I think they are the worst. When we come back from a game in Baton Rouge I swear that "those LSU fans are the worst." Florida fans always tick me off. And of course I think Auburn fans are just plain stupid (just kidding). But when you get right down to it, I enjoy this. It's all part of the game. I think most of us that are so passionate about our teams can be obnoxious all the while we are trying to be what we think is objective. I love the rivalry between the SEC teams. I love the games. Fun stuff. I do apologize for being rude to you LSU fans. I always pull for the SEC teams unless it's Auburn. I of course want them to lose every game. But I still love my Auburn buddies. And as so many have pointed out, Alabama has not faired too well this decade. I grew up in the 70's during our great years. We've gone through some tough seasons. So this has been long in coming, and it feels good to be winning again. I think both LSU and Bama are going to be good for a while. So it looks like we may be at each other's throats for a long time. Now, y'all can make fun of me all you want. That's what it's all about. So go ahead, and Roll Tide Roll.
I can't stand smack talk, even among my close friends. Sure, a little ribbing here and there is OK, but much of what I hear / read people saying is classless. Anyway, sorry you guys have had to deal with 'those fans' - I suppose each school has them, but they annoy the crap out of me. Luckily, all my Bama friends are more mature.
i think maybe you got lost on the way to that other site, the one that caters to sh!t talking and chest thumping.... good natured banter and thoughtful analysis are the cornerstones by which this site is measured (for the most part) as another poster indicated bama knew how to act with class when they won. that seems to have been lost during your recent floundering. bama is winning again and saban is a great coach. he has yet to equal the results he enjoyed at LSU but has yet another chance to win an SEC championship. congratulations to your team. something for you to ruminate upon: LSU has :crystal::crystal: of these......bama has 0 LSU is 4-0 in BCS games, bama is 0-2 in the last 25 years our record vs bama is 12-13-1, however; since 2000 LSU has beaten bama 7 times, losing once in OT and again last week, helped in part by an incompetent replay official. i don't mention these facts to flame you or to get you to mention the 12 mnc's your team won in the 1800's but to remind you that in this decade LSU has played in 4 seccg's, winning 3. bama has yet to win one.... most on this board respect your coach and your team and your team's history. respect ours. LSU!
Nobody wants rivals to be ass-kissers. But don't disrespect my team or my coach if you aren't willing to point the same critical finger at your own. And if all you do is lecture us on how we should feel about our coach or yours, people are going to get in your face and give you bad rep. You won't get banned here unless you break a rule or become a nuisance, but if you come in with an attitude . . . we don't have to like you. Make an effort and I'll send you some green.

Positive reps for Crimson Audio, Tusk times, and roll tide baby. We can tell when baiting is good natured or meant to inflame...regardless of school loyalty or opinion. The SEC is a brotherhood, most fans are respectful of their brothers. The several that aren't are over represented and untypical.
