LSU hired a Committee before, I don't think they did for saban. There was talk of an ole miss alum that helped with it, Sean Tuohy. But then I talked with someone that gave a somewhat different story.

 

Coulda swore there was a search committee for Saban, but I'm only to public info and my foggy memory. Need to buy you a drink one day.

 

I'll buy. I know, same here, too much to remember from years gone by. There is talk going around about who Fla is going to hire. So will use this for a pay raise. So many schools don't want to be hunting for a new coach right now, don't blame them. Oh Fla will get a few calls, might not be the ones they want.

 

If an AD needs to hire a search committee to come up with the name of a coach he should hire then he shouldn't be an AD. A big part of an AD's job is knowing who the good coaches are in all sports in case he needs to make a hire.

 

And his last decade or so were certainly not his finest, no?

 

that applies to almost everyone anywhere in any profession.

it's to weed out the names that don't fit.

 

so its more of a deselection committee.
