Florida and LSU have the exact same program right now. The only difference is that Florida has hope of improvement. Florida will fire Muschamp and hire a new coach and change will occur. LSU will not change one thing and we will continue to try to "man up" and run the most predictable game plan pulled directly from Bo in the 60s and 70s. Nothing will ever change. Even with the 2013 team that has the QB, RB, and both WR starting as rookies in the NFL, the offense was not unstoppable. If it takes that level of talent to rum your offense, you may want to examine your philosophy. This is the most frustrating team to watch.
Lsu and FU are very similar currently but Les has a lot more skins on the wall than Willard will ever have.
That's great and I am truly grateful for all the winning LSU has done under Les, but those "skins on the wall" won't do anything to win games in the future. It probably helps in recruiting, but then the talent will be grossly under-utilized.
Hope begins today for Florida! LSU will not change anything. MILES believes that they don't need to change. You can tell be how he answer questions at the press conference. He believes that if Delayhousse makes those kicks problem solved. He only blames the players execution never his coaches terrible predictable game plan. I seriously believe the game plan meetings are 2 minutes long.
Do they even meet? I'm thinking the game plan is handled via email. All it says is 'Same as last week'. What is so frustrating and tough to figure out is - do they even work on a passing game during the week? Zero improvement. In fact, it has regressed. If you're going to be so hard headed and stick with Jennings, why not figure out what type of pass he's most comfortable/accurate throwing and be creative enough to design and incorporate those plays into the game plan. Don't force the player to execute a system that doesn't meet his skill set. Design a system to get the most out of the player. I've never been paid one red cent to coach, but isn't that the way it should be done?
Jennings is more comfortable rolling out of the pocket so they run that play often when they pass. It gives him the option to run if he sees nothing. I don't like that play very often because it takes away half the field and limits the receiver options. Miles likes that play because it is a pass / run option.
