How do you know he isn't/hasn't already?? Because he is usually so forthcoming with the press about his day to day decisions?
:geaux::crystal::helmet: If it has already be done, is it really possible to keep news like that out of the press? Would think that one source or another would get something like that if a decision had been made. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:
I think it is more than likely that Miles has started his search or interview process and is capable of keeping it out of the press. It is only December 2nd, and plenty of other schools have no head coach. The press will be occupied with that for awhile. Other than that, everyone in the press wants to talk about this year's BCS conundrum. That should give Miles at least a month of not being hounded.
:geaux::crystal::helmet: Agree there are many other topics to occupy the press right now, although they are reporting other coaching/coordinator/assistants changes. I would hope he won't take a month to do this though. Can't imagine it would take him that long to make up his mind since he was right there on the sideling watching the defensive debacle first hand. Surely it was obvious to him that Mallory/Peveto was a failure and changes were needed. Guess we'll hope for the best. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:
Supposedly the coaches have been informed that their positions will not be here for them next year. We'll let them find other positions while working behind the scenes to get their replacements.
:geaux::crystal::helmet: If so, any idea on when we might hear who the replacements are? :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:
I don't mean to suggest it will take a month, but instead that Miles should have a month before the press starts to pressure him for answers. He may well have decided already. The upcoming month gives the coaches he no longer plans to bring back, time to secure other jobs. They will have interview processes too and it seems likely Miles will give them the opportunity to leave without getting "fired". Perception is very important. Besides it is unlikely that a DC would be hired and implement a new scheme before our bowl game, so why rush to announce this if a change has been decided? Other DC candidates may be involved with their own bowl runs. If it was for head coach, I think it would be sooner, but since it is for coordinator, it can happen on Miles' time frame.
:geaux::crystal::helmet: Maybe that decision has been made, maybe not. Only thing I'm sayin' is that if the decision has been made, it will be extremely hard to keep that news in house. And if it has been made, what's the purpose of keeping it under wraps. More than likely final decisions have not been made, although CLM is hopefully pretty sure of who he'll get. I do however, still hope he will make his decision sooner rather than later. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:
