It was the highest-ranked team to go to GA since 1995. Huge win. Compare to this: Saban coached LSU to the most humiliating loss to Georgia in LSU History. Saban's last team at LSU got beat down 16-45 @ Georgia in 2004. How in the hell did that happen? Here are all the losses LSU had to Georgia in history... who stands out as the biggest loser? 2004 -- 29 pts (16-45) -- Saban!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1948 -- 22 pts (0-22) 1991 -- 21 pts (10-31) 2005 -- 20 pts (14-34) 1947 -- 16 pts (19-35) 1952 -- 17 pts (14-27) 1978 -- 14 pts (17-24) 2008 -- 14 pts (38-52) 1979 -- 7 pts (14-21) 1949 -- 7 pts (0-7) 1999 -- 1 pt (22-23) 1998 -- 1 pt (27-28) Also... Over the last 50 years (since 1959), LSU is 1-4 between the hedges @ Sanford Stadium. The 92,746-seat stadium is the seventh largest stadium in the NCAA. On October 12, 1929, a capacity crowd of 30,000+ paid $3.00 per ticket to watch the Georgia Bulldogs, under coach Harry Mehre, beat perennial powerhouse Yale 15–0 in Sanford Stadium's dedication game. Sanford Stadium's famous hedges have encircled the field since the stadium's very first game against Yale in 1929.
And maybe some will say we won ugly again. I don't think so. We dominated that game for 3 of those 4 quarters. We made Georgia look like total crap at their place, and I didn't think that was possible. Great game by LSU. It was by far the most complete game of the year, offense, defense and special teams.
Preach it, Brotha! This was finally a good performance. You can see that Chavis knows Georgia pretty darn well. Bet he knows Florida, too. :geaux:
22 years huh. strangely enough john repeated the above post in 22 threads thus far. no lie. the. same. exact. post.
Good, Bad, Ugly...whatever. Congrats on an exciting win! I was at work cheering when Scott broke free, and everyone of my fellow buckeye fans looking at me like I was crazy. Good luck this week! I will be pullin for you guys big time. Defense is playing well enough to keep you in any game at this point. Clutch offense can be enough when your D plays that well. Beat the Gators! Geaux Tigers Go Bucks!
