First time I've seen a QB get booed in a bowl game...

I don't disagree with you. Jefferson should have been yanked. I'm just not convinced Lee would have done a damn thing.

What has Jefferson done the last 4 years that would make you think he would suddenly mount a comeback against the #1 defense in the land?

JL has come in to save JJ's butt at times. It's not about his past, it's about what he could have done. You don't put a QB that hasn't seen a meaningful snap all year either. Why does JJ get a chance to redeem himself, not only from bad play but even a suspension but Jarrett Lee doesn't get that opportunity?

JJ won the first Bama game for us because Bama hadn't prepared for him. JL could have done the same thing to Bama tonight.

And I would rather be down 21-0 in the 1st half and try to fight back rather than slowing getting pounded. 3-0, 6-0, 9-0, 12-0, 15-0. All opportunities missed and we got teased into believing we could have come back when we weren't even close. The announcers cheered when we crossed midfield for the first time late in the 4th quarter. That should say a lot about the game

Jarrett Lee was dressed out to mess with Bama and keep them on edge wondering if he was going to play. He was ineligible because his grades were not good enough.

For those of you who were wondering, Jarrett Lee was ineligible to play tonight. That's why Jefferson was in the whole game.

Again, I would have yanked JJ also, but I am pretty sure Lee would have done no better.

I agree, maybe with Lee we would have been slightly better, but our OL got dominated all night long. Also we used exactly the game plan Bama prepared for, they were ready for it. Our bad execution just made bad things worse.

Would have different gameplan have worked out more?

A different gameplan is what allowed us to beat Bama the first time when we put in JJ very abruptly. A switch to JL could have possibly done the same.

To me, that's better than being sure that JJ would have not done better. I'll take that any day.

So why not play Mett? He is the future right?
