If we can't get an ACC school and it seems like we won't, I think Mizzou is the best choice. I know that won't "wow" anyone, but there really isn't any other great choices out there that I could think of.

:geaux: Agreed. I think Mizzou is who we end up with. But then again, I'm not believing anything until I see it. :hihi: :LSU231:

If Bama agreed with being in a different division in Tennessee, then they'll agree to being in a different division than Auburn. The blood is just as bad, if not worse.

Maybe, but they would really FUBAR the schedule. Not only will Bama have to preserve their precious rivalry game with Tennessee that led to permanent opponent in the first place, but now the Iron Bowl too.

Wjhat dio you think about MTSU being in the SEC ? They have played SEC teams and played very well. They are the largest ubiversity in Tennessee and they do have a following ??

    MTSU, ECU, blech....

I feel like Missouri is a pretty strong pickup.

Looks like the only thing left to decide is if they will be an SEC West team or an SEC East team.

I heard Bama is trying to push them to the East.

Why would it matter what Bama wants?

Deaton given authority to make decisions regarding conference affiliation. In other words, he can do the deal.

Who in their right mind would want to go to Murfreesboro?

Their "wow" comes in the form of an untapped market for the SEC. St. Louis, KC, etc.

That's where Mizzou's REAL draw is at the current moment.

Plus, Mizzou has already displayed the ability to provide a talented team every couple seasons--and 1-2 really good ones every decade. That sort of thing is only going to increase for them when they'll have "SEC football" to offer kids those surrounding midwestern states that they had been otherwise missing out on until now.
