Because Bama doesn't want to be surrounded by Tigers.... They already have their hands full with both as it is.

Just send Bama and Auburn to the east and give the west Kentucky. Then the gumps can keep both rivals.

I get that they are scared to play us
: ), but my question is WHY DOES IT APPEAR THAT BAMA GETS TO MAKE A CALL HERE?

They act/think like they are Texas in the Big 12 - where it's them and everyone else is just lucky to be in their Conference.

The SEC has 4 different BCS Champion schools in it. And soon LSU will be the only school with 3 Crystals!

We should be deciding who stays in the West more than anyone.

Historically we've done OK against the felines (felis catus). I'm sure Bama would feel conscientiously responsible, if we simply turn the west over to LSU and Arky.

Tennessee is a unique animal, all to themselves. These are the two winningest teams in the SEC. This tradition goes back much further than Bama vs the barn and seldom does it ever become anything less then contentious.

Cleanest entry for Mizzou would be to accept the SEC invite and go to the East. Allow TA&M and Mizzou to be the every year east/west teams and keep all else as it is. I don't think Mizzou wants to go, or will go to the East. SEC has leverage and should force them to accept the invite and to join the East, or let them stay in the big 12. Personally, I think West Virginia is a better SEC fit than Mizzou to begin with. I would rather see WVA join SEC East and call it a day for now. Mizzou brings little to the table in my opinion.

It doesn't. They are just being adamant about their position and trying to get support. I like the idea. Make the east take the 14th team. Why make the west take 3 of the 4 non-traditional SEC teams?

What would be best for LSU, Red?

That's what's most important to me.

I'm an LSU fan more than a traditional SEC fan.

Times are a changin- I say we push whatever realignment scenario would be BEST for the LSU Football team being a perennial favorite to Win the West each and every year.

The SEC has 5 BCS Champion schools in it:

    LSU x2
    Gators x2
    Bama x1
    Auburn x1
    Tenn x1
