I hope we force them to respect the deep threat early in the game. Oh, Hester off left-tackle followed up by a KW pistol formation.
It will either be an onside kick recovery or a kickoff or punt return or an INT for a TD!:tigereye: Now that I've coverd all the bases, Is it gametime yet, Baby! :geaux:
I can't believe nobody has said FALSE START by Carnell Stewart! (not saying it will be...just saying I can't believe nobody has said that yet):thumb:
Have we even run this formation since the VA Tech game? I'd like to see thrown in more in small doses. How's that for an oxy moron?
Yep, almost every game. But, I don't recall doing anything fancy out of this formation since running the option with KW in the VT game. We either hand it off to Hester or play action. The pistol had no bullets since VT. The first play will be a quick pass to Doucet, maybe a WR screen.
It's gonna be Hester right up the gut. Les is going to know what we're working against and just how good that top rated defense really is, so he'll attack it.
As a Chicago Bears fan, in addition to the obvious tOSU loyalty, i'm just praying we don't return the opening kick... If tOSU gets the ball first, I'd bet a week's paycheck that we run Beanie. Does Miles 1st playcall usually tell you what kind of gameplan he's put in? ie., in games where they go deep immediately, is he usually more aggressive?
Start out with a spread formation, put Holliday in motion and give the ball to him so that OSU gets a reminder of what SEC speed is all about.
