Key to oysters is a skilled shucker. Its an art really. I can eat 5 doz in a sitting but if I get one hint of shell bit in the meat, I'm done. No chit, could be the first one I slurp down. After that, I just wanna yak.

I'll remember that for next time. I remember calling Parrains before my trip last year to see if they were open on Thanksgiving. I was disappointed they were not.

Hey cshel, aside from the game (if you're an SC fan), how was your trip? Always interested in hearing stories of people's first trip to Death Valley.

First, I want to thank everyone who contributed on this thread, it was an amazing experience. Not only were my buddy and I treated like royalty, we had some damn good food. We were told to get a spot for the Tiger Walk so we made sure we did. It was cool seeing Les and the team walk a few feet in front of us. Everyone we met was very friendly and the game day atmosphere was easily as good as the big games I've been to at the Shoe/Beaver Stadium. I think the biggest difference that I noticed or at least perceived was that the crowd was generally younger and those who were "old" didn't yell at you for cheering loudly or standing up like they do up north. o_O

As both of us follow Big10 teams we didn't have a dog in the fight. We are just fans of college football and enjoy seeing what other schools have to offer.

Anyways, thanks for a great time, you guys definitely set the bar high for our next trip.
