You campaigned for Harris so hard last year that you just can't admit that he is a mediocre quarterback . . . just like Jennings. And not real bright either . . . back-to-back delay of game penalties inside the 5! Pulling Fournette from lining up right to lining up left and handing it off to the right while the pulling guards went left, like they were supposed to. 31% passing. No wonder they don't let him do much thinking.

Wise up. We have a quarterback problem.

Sadly, Harris just might have nothing but air between his ears. His physical skillset is lightyears ahead of Jennings. In interviews before he enrolled in LSU he sounded poised and mature but maybe he was coached to say the right things.

A guy I know who tutors a few of his classmates said they tell him that Harris is as dumb as a rock. Maybe there's still hope. After all, Terry Bradshaw is in the Hall of Fame

Which leads to the question. Why are we so successful recruiting every position EXCEPT QB?

Why do we recruit spread quarterbacks to run a pros style offense? Maybe Cam has gotten through to Miles though, at least franks is pro style.

He had his moments. I thought he played better last year against Bama than Harris did this year against them. And honestly he could just be another victim of a over simplified offense that doesn't allow a quarterback to win games for you. He obviously doesn't have the physical gifts Harris does, but I don't think we ever had to worry about the things Red pointed out. Messing up the formations, delay of game penalties etc.

People have correctly pointed out that the run pass ratio was as balanced as it has been all year in T Town. But what's not being said are the plays that were called had very little chance at being successful. Especially after the interception. But the more I think of it, the more I wonder if Les just said I would rather lose this game by 2 scores than 4 so I'm gonna shut it down because I don't trust that Harris won't go back out there and give the other team the ball again.

And maybe the offense is the way it is because Harris just can't run it like Miles or Cameron would like with the full arsenal.

I agree. I usually don't like "airing" stuff out in public, but the HC clearly does not listen to the players or others around him, so what other recourse do you have? Looks like they are just using the tools they can to rebel against the offensive strategy, and I don't blame them (notice, I'm not saying play calling, b/c I think the OC is doing the best he can with the strategy template he is given). You can't tell me that more offensive creativity with the talent we have on offense wouldn't score more points. And, I'm not saying to not play to our strengths and use a once in a lifetime back like LF, but he would realize even more success w/a reasonable passing attack. If CLM would just, for the love of God, truly turn over the offense to someone who would develop an offensive strategy based on the opponents strengths and weaknesses, and let us be the offensive team and defensive team's we are capable of being, it would be pure delight. Oh well, we'll live with our 9.5 wins, and grin.

Having said all of that, we were demolished in the trenches, and I'm not sure a different strategy would have had a different result last Sat. night.

And this is what the great poster formerly known as @LSUDad told us, assured us that Cam would do. "If there is a weakness in the defense he WILL find it and exploit it" is a pretty accurate quote of his.

Well, we are still waiting for that. Has an absolute Ferrari and its being driven like a yugo. Oh should I mention that the know it all won't even show his mealy mouth face?
