hey nobody is more about stats than I am, but for God's sake the eye test tells you all you needed to know without looking at a goddamn box score Like I've said, we might as well have invited Bama's defense into our huddle
I know it was bad when you didn't even post a Grades thread. Then again, it's real simple, F's across the board.
Oh about stacking the box, you don't necessarily need to show an 8 or 9 man front, it's all about the first step of the LBs and safeties....are they retreating or moving towards the line of scrimmage in an aggressive manner? I don't need to tell you which of those occurred when we were showing run. Need to learn some football 101. Bama offense opened up with some really short safe passes on what appeared to be obvious run formations.....that had us wondering what the hell was going on. Later in the game it opened it completely up for Henry to run like a wild man. Beautiful game plan.
You don't have to invite anyone into your huddle when the evolution of your offense has moved slower than monkey to man. All you have to do is watch film. Once you do that, even if you're just guessing, you already have a 25 percent chance of guessing the play based on the formation. Then when you add situational stuff into the mix, down and distance, quarter, score, I'm sure the people who get paid to look at the film could easily break LSU's play calling down and know what's coming before the snap.
I knew we were in trouble when Les Miles got interviewed just before game time and he was all giddy to say he couldn't wait to see the battle in the trenches.
Not only that, run the clock down to 1 second each time before you snap the ball so the other team knows exactly when you are going to snap it.
the game is not on Harris, yes he threw a bad pick, but the line and play calling did him no favors. he is the reason why we scored any points.
