A little conflation here. Simply because it takes a certain amount of mental toughness, people get there in different ways and a few of them have a screw loose. There are "normal" men who have issues when their service is concluded but there are some who went in virtually as sociopaths. They become open to the deviancy described earlier. That type of behavior has nothing to do with the training they received. That's what I thought. It is not a fact. Not only do I understand it far more than you've given me credit for, but I understand it even more than you do.
