First College Playoff Committee Poll Tonight

If that's all it takes I know a lot of women who would qualify.

For sure I would add to that list someone who played- with coaching being a nice plus.

12 knowledgable football fans from different parts of the country could get together in a sports bar and do just as good a job

 

I haven't looked at the resumes of all the members, but I know one is a sports writer. Don't know what playing experience, if any, he has.

I know a lot of the members are administrators. Don't know and really don't care what their playing experience may or may not be.

The one thing they all have in common is they are college football fans. They are being asked to watch games and analyze and interpret a ton of data and make evaluations.

If the committee were made up of twelve women, then yea I think that would be a problem. I don't have a problem with her being one of the twelve.

 

They are saying that one week's rankings will not have any bearing on the next week's rankings.

How can that possibly be true?

At any rate, they have opened Pandora's box for teams running up the score for style points.

 

So our losses were to two of the current 4 playoff teams and we beat another one of the top 4.

The committee really nailed it putting us at 19th. I know it doesn't matter but this new deal is as much as a farce as the AP or coaches poll.

 

Strange since for Ole Miss to be ranked 4th would seem to indicate respect for LSU

 

This science experiment was stupid as fuck. The only way to do this fairly is an algorithm used like the old computer systems combined with rankings and other metrics. The ONE thing about TE BCS that was right they ditched and kept the ONE thing that was flawed.

 

So true. They should've kept the freggin BCS and take the top 8.

 

Well the whole committee bullshit won't last 3 years anyway. It's a stupid idea and doomed to fail.

 

I agree, the BCS+playoff makes more sense. 12 jerkoffs making the decision never made sense to football fans, but PC nerds and bean counters are happy.
