Firing Miles would be both dumb and unprecedented

We got our ass kicked because we kept screwing up plays, not because the game plan was bad.

I've been reading your posts, it takes a frying pan to know a kettle on a high horse, or something like that.

I've had doubts from game one (I never bitched about the hire but my first reaction to on-field performance was kinda... Oh no!?). I had to eat crow following the NC and I championed the man through the mulligan if the century and beyond. But my initial doubts started creeping in and now seem fully realized. No joy in it except that if I'm right we might be closer to turning the page.

You've been a staunch defender of Miles and poo poo'd criticism. Now you, the beacon of reason, come to tell us not to take joy in it, but the end is nye. And I'm on a high horse. Be a man and look in the mirror.

We can't handle a simple pitch in the backfield. You want to see how badly we can screw up more complicated plays?

Going 5/18 on third downs and throwing two interceptions with a lost fumble didn't help our defense.

So what does it tell you that our players now can't handle their bread and butter play that they were perfectly capable of executing for 3/4 of the season?

Oh, earlier this season (I was trying to think of offensive prowess of years past that I might have slept through). That's ALL we have to do? We've had the same players the past three weeks that we had early in the season, so no, you're wrong. If our offense hinges on a specific fullback and the to operate, our offensive philosophy might be fucked.

We had over 20 more plays than they did and didn't even score half of what they did.

Maybe if our defense wouldn't have got us in a 24-0 hole we wouldn't have had to have to air it out every play.

Harris has been inconsistent. But I don't know what Les is supposed to do about that. Seems to me to be in the province of the OC and QB coach. I don't think Les has ever claimed to be an expert QB coach.

We weren't that "perfectly capable" early in the season either. The blocking was a little bit better before injuries than after, and that gave Fournette time to corral some of the wild pitches.

How is the 0 in that the defense's fault? How is the interception that set up points 18 to 24 the defense's fault?
