Oh, he's a defensive coach now? All this thread I thought he was too busy ruining quarterbacks.

You need to sober up and read again, he's neither an offensive or a defensive coach. However each have a chance if he keeps his hands off. Problem is he couldn't keep his hands off the offense. Try to keep up with the conversation junior.

This just puts off the inevitable. LSU is good in Sept and Oct because the schedule makes it that way. Nov is the money month and LSU will still be in the predicament they are in now. Thin due to juniors leaving. Freshmen to backup injured players and Les Miles only offensive game plan. Run at all costs. It worked early in his coaching career but now his depth has run thin.

They don't practice pass protection because they practice running the ball. That plan fails when your line is thin and no one knows how to pass block. He has proven that he will not change. It is obvious to all execpt those who believe in miracles.

I have said this before. Les Miles philosophy is that of rationalism. He believes in a method that should work and he implies that it will. It should be his way therefore he will not change. It does not mattter what happens. He believes his method should and will work. Adaptiation does not exist in his world. Only force of will.

If you believe that then stick with him. I warn you, don't expect change next year. Only more head pounding, injuries, a thin line and a weak November.

I don't buy that Les has been meddling with the offense under the last three coordinators. I know Miles was somewhat involved with Crowton because otherwise we would have had to wait until 5 seconds left on the play clock and he would have called something too complicated for the team to get ready for. Sometimes that happened anyway, but it would have been even worse. I don't know that much about Studwara (who again was never supposed to be the OC in the first place), but hard to fire a guy after a 13-1 year). I doubt Cam is just sitting there twiddling his thumbs while Les is running the offense now.

I've been sober this whole conversation, I'm the only one that doesn't sound like an old drunk who overstayed his welcome on a barstool somewhere.

The things most people are saying about the recent history of the program don't match reality at all, and it just makes people mad when I explain why. I'm also annoyed that people want to whitewash Jimbo Fisher, but I guess there is another thread for that conversation.

I seem to remember throwing the ball a lot on Saturday, but Harris has long spells of inaccuracy. I think that is something that would improve next year, especially if we upgrade the OC. We have a lot of young players who are in important blocking positions right now. I think they're talented, but there are a lot of mistakes still.

As I said earlier, I think next year could be a similar turnaround to 2002-2003 offseason for us and the 2003-04 for Auburn. If it's not, then I have no problem with making a change.

Also I don't have a problem with making a change if A&M goes ahead 21-0 and we lose to them as well. That would be evidence things are more out of control than I believe they are. As I see it now, we've had some sloppy play against the top two teams in our division (you could argue the top two teams in the conference given that Florida is nowhere near the team that beat Ole Miss) and an Arkansas team we've struggled against for the previous two seasons as well, and the scores showed it (but still nothing like the score against Auburn last year).

I seem to remember 5 sacks in each of the past games when LSU tried to throw the ball. It is obvious they don't practice pass protection in practice. that is an after thought.

I stand by my assesment of Les Milles philosophy. He is what he is.
