Yeah, I always liked Jimbo, too, but don't think he could have stepped into the HC position at that point in his career - maybe he could have, who knows? I never understood all of the Jimbo bashing I would hear, however. I thought he was dynamite, still do, and glad for him to be having success. He's not infallible, and will have ups and downs like all coaches, but he is showing is capability for sure, and in the fertile FLA region, he'll be successful for a while.

You are comparing a guy who MADE IT to an NC game vs. guys that have 10 seasons in and won the damn thing.. Its not close bro. Not saying he can't get there, but at this point, it isn't close.

Tell that to the people who complain when I criticize the process despite a win.

I criticized Saban all the time while he was here - I was in the minority, and I wonder which side most pumpers were on back then. Saban is an exceptional, but flawed, coach. You could say the same, to a slightly lesser degree, of Miles.

To deny that Saban was the singular entity, maybe giving some kudos to emmert, responsible for truly bringing back the magic, is sour grapes. Saban got the ball rolling, miles has continued that. Dinardo is a footnote.

#2 on the depth chart lost his position due to several things. Henry was slated as the #2 in the game for about a week.

I agree w/you fully. Saban was the turning point, no doubt about that.

Ahhh, Terry's backā€¦..conveniently after UT is firmly hiring Strong, LOL. In the end, Saban didn't go to UT, but to think nothing was going on between last February and now between him and UT, as you had been previously maintaining, is simply blind devotion, my man. Congrats on Saban staying. Would have been a moment of joy to see the meltdown had he left, I must admit, but other than stealing our recruits, LOL again, I'm glad he is and will continue this rivalry. Nice to have the Bama program to pull against overall while he is there.
