Excuse my ignorance but how does one get an AD fired. Are we looking at getting the BoS to make the move or is it boosters or some other shadowy person/people? If this shit show doesn't get him canned freaking nothing will.
Maybe the boosters who were going to put up the buyout money said it's Jimbo or nothing. Still, Alleva handled the whole thing in a fucked up way.
It's being said that they wanted a proven guy. But seriously if 7 million was the holdup, why not pay the buyout and go get a guy like Herman for 3.5. It doesn't make sense, if you're gonna pay 6 and an extra million is the holdup, shit, there's your extra million right there by getting Herman for cheaper than you are already paying Miles. You save a million per year that way. It just makes no sense.
They aren't equipped to think outside the box like that. Even though it's not really much outside the box.
Maybe Herman told LSU no as well. I thought I read Herman is holding out for when Texas job opens. I don't see Strong turning that program around, plus he's eyeing the NFL.
What's miles buyout next year? I have to think if he puts out the same old crap next year he is in trouble. I still personally think his seat has got to be cranked up to 9 or 10 out of 10 on the hot side. We might have to wait till next year after we lose to the gumps and the piggies again before the climate is right. I'm sure going to the bowl game and laying an egg won't help his seat temp either. He knows he has a target on his back and the first chance the boosters get to force him out and get a new HC, I think he's gone. What fell through this time was he new HC part of things. And to the point of the higher ups don't want the negative PR frankly I don't see why they would care about that. Many of those guys are not house hold names, hell the casual observer didn't know who our AD was until this shit was up on parade. I think alleva is now a scapegoat for any other coup that may or may not go down. IMO
