I don't put it past Miles, he lost the team and wasn't getting it back. But tonight was not all on Miles; Eaux sucked big time, everybody looked like they were running around with their hair on fire.

All of his remaining pixie dust? He had quite a few good seasons after '08, that was one of his two worst seasons at LSU. But a Miles down season was going 8-4. This year, we'll be lucky to go 4-8.

I don't think that is cherry picking. Troy in 2008(more than once now), Towson in 2013, and Syracuse, EMU, and WKU in 2015 were all struggle games for a while (in some of those, we finally pulled away at the end, but struggled much more than expected) during Miles tenure. That's just a quick review. Memory fades, and final scores/records are sometimes all that is remembered.

That's fresh coming from the source of most of the get rid of Miles threads. To be clear, after the 2011-12 NCCG, I wanted a new coaching start, too, esp. after 2015. Miles needed to go, but there was no bigger champion than you of getting rid of miles. Now, you are comparing a bare cupboard on both lines to Miles heart and fight? As always, you lack perspective and are a "what have you done for me lately" guy.

    I think it's a criticism of O, not a compliment to Miles.

Perhaps, but there is plenty posting history here to take into consideration beyond a single statement.

I was well ready for Miles to go. I was hoping for Herman but bought into Eaux when it was clear Jimbo and Herman weren't coming. Never expected such a big drop off from interim to head guy, but that game last night was unacceptable.

I wouldn't fire Orgeron unless the money guys said we got this, and definitely not before Alleva was canned. If we get a good AD I could stomach a few years of crap. LSU could survive a terrible hire if the guy responsible is gone. Turn around, make a strong hire, let the program build up to significance again.

agree 100%. i wanted Jimbo or Herman. Would have been happy with either, personally. I got behind O (not much choice really), and still hope what we are seeing is all a result of thin depth, but am definitely feeling shaky about it all. The last 4 games seem very different than when O took over last year through the BYU game this year. Don't see the same fire in him, the passion to get back up off of the ground, or the same offense efficiency we saw last year after CLM was fired. Now, I haven't seen any post-game stuff yet from O after last night's game. Hopefully, the team picks themselves up from their bootstraps and improves. I am forever an optimist and remain hopeful. In the interim, would love to see Alleva fired, and then the new AD assess this season as it completes itself, and make a fresh decision on the situation and make a strong hire, as you say. I would also like to see a new AD focus on restoring Tiger Stadium to Death Valley. It hasn't been that for quite a while.

I think a major contributing factor to LSU's deflated atmosphere is a long string of disappointments. I'm a pretty optimistic person, but I try to be slightly realistic. Just haven't seen it from Eaux this year, to the point where the crap-sandwich left by Miles can't even be blamed. I just don't see it happening. I probably felt the same after UAB and I never expected Miles to win a NC after Tennessee year 1.

That frickin sound system and ads all over the place don't help. And the fans who leave early; time to burn the forest and get rid of the kindling.

We've been a shitty team since Nola. And that's the truth. Mile gave us one last Fuck You on his way out the door with the team he left us.
