Why is this so hard for mediocre academics like Alexander to understand? That there are revenue-generating alternatives to pleading with the Legislature with hat in hand every 6 months.
Both parts of the dynamic - F King and Duke Alleva are idiots. Alleva botched the Elmer firing two years ago and F King is so fucking clueless he actually thought the cost of getting rid of Elmer would prevent a poor kid from getting a fun meal. Fire them both.
It's being said Alleva's buyout would be $2M. I wonder if that check could come from TAF or if would have to come from the university. I doubt the university is in position to write that check, so I hope it's the former. From a rational standpoint, it probably makes sense to get a more certain feel on how this season is playing out before making that move. I wonder if this is even on the radar.
